“ PNM was recently named one of the 10 best machine shops in the United States by American Machinist Magazine for 2006. We have approximately 50 employees and 20 major machine tools. The SmartSkim® CoolantLoop™ coolant maintenance and recycling center has been a valuable addition to our efforts to maintain a world class manufacturing facility.

The SmartSkim® was simple to install and requires very little maintenance. Since its installation our new coolant purchases have been cut approximately in half and our coolant disposal costs have been mostly eliminated.

Using the SmartSkim® we are able to successfully recycle all the coolants we bring to the SmartSkim®, typically about 90% of all coolants used in our plant.

The system uses very few consumables and requires a simple cleaning about once per year. We were surprised to see how little time and effort this took.

The SmartSkim® gives us the capability to maintain our coolants in excellent condition, so that our product quality and our shop environment are also maintained at the highest levels.

We have received excellent customer support from the SmartSkim® team as well. Overall we are very satisfied with the SmartSkim® coolant maintenance and recycling center.
