Skimming Centers
For some parts washing and coolant applications, it is more effective to skim and separate floating oils outside the washer or coolant tank, particularly where the fluids are continuously turbulent or where there is no room for treatment hardware such as floating suction skimmers. By continuously removing tramp oils, you keep floating oily contaminants from building up in your production systems.
All SmartSkim® Skimming Center components are designed to work together to solve a full range of treatment problems when dealing with wash and coolant solutions.
Continuously pumping or overflowing washers and coolant tanks to a quiet skim center allows floating oils the retention time to separate from the source solution so effective skimming can take place.
Once the sourced solution is in the quiet tank, the SmartSkim Suction skimmer will remove the topmost layer of the fluid and pump it to a SmartSkim® Separator where open channel gravity coalescing takes place. Our multi-patented, non-clog skimmers and separators need minimal maintenance, use no consumables and are built to last a lifetime. he clarified solution is then pumped or flows by gravity back into the washer or coolant tank.
The Skimming Centers can be manufactured from 304 stainless or mild steel.
