The Sentry TLR tube sample cooler cools a sample from a process stream. That may seem simple, but each TLR is a uniquely designed small tube in a shell heat exchanger. 

The sample to be cooled flows through the tube side of the cooler, and the cooling fluid, usually water, flows through the shell side. The cooled sample then can be taken to a laboratory for analysis or piped to in-line process instrumentation for continuous monitoring of properties such as conductivity, pH or other chemical constituents. 

  • Minimizes cooling water needs with its double-wound helical coil design

  • Wide variety of exotic alloys available for corrosion resistance 

  • Retained shellside gasket reduces reassembly time 

  • Formed shell eliminates top shell flange weld interfaces 

  • Mounting bracket can be installed without removing flange bolts 

Pressure & Temperature Ratings

  • TLR coil rated up to 5000 PSI at 1000°F (345 bar at 538°C)
  • TLR shell rated up to 450 PSI at 650°F (31 bar at 343°C)
  • Pressure and temperature ratings are dependent on material selection.

Material

  • 304/304L, 316/316L and Alloy 625 stainless steel shells available standard
  • 316/316L stainless steel and Alloy 625 1/4” tubed coils available standard
